Other Details The hike to the peak can be challenging and requires physical fitness. It's recommended to bring water, wear appropriate clothing, and apply sunscreen. It's suggested to start the hike early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the heat. If planning to camp, arrive early to secure a spot as the camping area is small. The name "Kandungaw" comes from the Cebuano term "dungaw" which means "to look down". The peak was used as a lookout point during the Japanese regime in the Philippines. |
