About Campanario de Antigua is an ancient bell tower or belfry in Samboan, built in 1798 as a lookout for Moro raiders. It's well-preserved and stands atop a plateau 200 meters above sea level. |

How to Go There From Cebu City, head to the South Bus Terminal to catch a bus bound for Bato via Barili. Tell the driver or conductor to let you off at Samboan. It's a 3-hour bus ride, and the fare is a little over Php 100. You can also hire a van for convenience. |

Other Details Nearby is Escala de Jacob, a staircase with 157 steps from the watchtower down to the coastal barangays, serving as a passage way for villagers in the past. The area also includes the San Miguel Arcangel Parish, constructed with coral and wood, with centuries-old altar. |
