I do not consider myself a newbie in freelance writing for Essays.ph. As a matter of fact, I have been a registered user or writer since 2011. I remember I was in between jobs back then and since I had to wait for my last pay to be released, I decided I had to do something, both financially — as well relieve me from boredom. I do believe in the saying that idle hands are the devil’s playthings.

So apart from being able to do something worthwhile, I was glad I could earn through writing essays. The pay is not much, I realized, but with all the scams littering the Internet promising oodles of money for online work, I was glad to find something that was true to its word.

Writing for Essays.ph is quite simple: after signing up, just wait for the email confirmation. I’m not sure if they still require new applicants to submit a sample or screening article because that is what I remembered doing that time. Once you are allowed to pick assignments, you can browse different topics that interest you and start writing. You have to keep in mind though that there are deadlines for every assignment so make sure to submit on or before the due date or you will be issued warnings. They will also check if your essay is free from grammar errors and plagiarism. There are also specific instructions to follow for every assignment that you claim.

Here’s what you can expect, based on my own working experience with them:

Schedule: You choose when you want to work. You can work anywhere you want to, whether in the comfort of your own room, at a coffee shop, it’s up to you. I regularly check topic assignments to see if anything catches my fancy. I usually get tasks 2-3 times a week.

Assignment: Once you claim an assignment, you need to read and follow specific instructions for the topic such as the number of keywords in the article and others. Remember to proofread to avoid revisions which may also affect your rating as a writer. You will pick assignments based on keywords or topics. Some examples of assignments I took were about “weight loss” or “wedding candy buffets”. There are topics that are easy enough to do without research, but with some you have to do a little bit reading in order to write. I remember getting an assignment about investments and I had to do tons of Internet research before I could begin writing. I would suggest choosing a subject you are familiar with to make writing hassle-free.

Deadlines: You have to submit on or before the due date, and it is usually 24 hours, except for longer pieces, such as e-books or guides. My most recent assignment was an e-book and the total turnaround time was almost 2.5 days.

Revisions: You will be alerted if you need to edit or do some revisions in your work, and of course, you need to do so otherwise you may not get paid. I have never experienced being flagged for revisions, though.

Payment: Rate is usually P60 for every 500 words, but it sometimes it varies for every assignment. I was able to receive a little over Php1100 for writing 20 articles that are 400-500 words each. I never had a problem with receiving payment from them. My payment was coursed through BPI which only took 1-2 days to reflect in my account, other banks may take 3-5 days. You can also choose to withdraw payment through PayPal, G-Cash, Smart Money and others.

I have not earned a lot from writing at Essays.ph since I only get assignments when I have spare time, but I believe that as a writer, you are in control of how much you want to earn by the time you devote to getting and working on assignments. My overall experience with them has been pleasant and I find their staff very accommodating and professional to work with. Writing for Essays.ph is recommended for anyone who wants to earn extra money during their free time.

They pay PH0. 50 per word the least, sometimes higher for urgent but reasonable time.

  2. Hey guys!

The site is totally legit; however, they are proud to have slavery as their niche. Seriously. They get foreign clients by branding themselves as the cheapest option.

That’s a good business strategy to be honest, kinda like the sweatshops that the fast-fashion industry has been notorious for. Of course, their rates might actually be reasonable, since they’re the ones doing all the marketing for you. (But who knows, the site ain’t really transparent about how they make contracts with clients)

My point is, you should only go for Essays.ph if you meet ALL of the ff conditions:
1.) Self-sufficient for basic needs (via job or parents lol)
2.) Desperate for some side cash
3.) Willing to grind or Passionate about writing AND spending enormous amount of time on doing research that essentially goes unpaid considering the extremely low rate

    Be my guest.

But if you think your writing ability is above industry level, just look for direct clients yourself. Could be anywhere: online job boards, direct to client freelancing sites, or connections IRL. Just not Essays.ph

    1. I agree sister. Apparently, they keep on cancelling articles that’s good for blo

    2. Where are they now? I’ve been accepted last January 15, 2019, and I can’t seem to find them anymore.
