Dull and frizzy. That’s what my waist-length hair had become after having it dyed thrice in a span of 2 years. Combing it has become troublesome even if I use both shampoo and conditioner, and on top of that, it’s obvious with its appearance that it’s so unhealthy.
I didn’t want to go on consulting a hair care professional because that will surely cost money. My mom, knowing my hair condition, kept on changing and changing our shampoo in order to find something that can treat my hair.
My classmate recommended Dove Blue shampoo or Dove Intense Repair shampoo. It seemed to have worked for her and it is said to help in restoring damaged hair. I was so excited in trying this product and I asked my mom to buy it at once. Sadly, after weeks of using Dove Intense Repair shampoo, my hair is still dull and frizzy. It wasn’t restored at all. I was getting frustrated, not knowing what to do with my hair. I was thinking maybe I should just cut it short, because it looks so unkempt and it takes a lot of time to comb it. I really wanted to give up my waist-length hair.
But then, maybe it’s mother hunch or whatever it may be called, my mom picked up another Dove product. It was Dove Gold shampoo or Dove Nourishing Oil Care shampoo and she told me to try it. I was skeptic at first. I thought, “Their so-called ‘intense repair shampoo’ which should have saved my damaged hair was not able to do anything, so what can this possibly do?” I ended up using it after all, since my mom was trying to help and since it was already bought.
Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo really surprised me. Just a few days after I started using it, my hair became easier to comb. It gradually became smoother and softer. I used it everyday and after a few months, my hair is not dull anymore. Once again, my hair is healthy. I didn’t have to get hair care treatment from a professional and I didn’t have to cut it short either!
I thought it was hopeless, but Dove Nourishing Oil Care shampoo did wonders for my hair! If it doesn’t work for you, I suggest you try the other variants of Dove shampoos! I’m not saying that it will be effective for everyone but I can say Dove shampoos are worth a try!
