I was watching TV then an Enrique Gil commercial went on. He was endorsing a new smartphone called CloudFone (Cloudfone Excite 400dx), and at the same time endorsing ABS-CBN’s new sim card called ABS-CBN mobile. That caught my attention because I really like Enrique Gil, and I was also looking for a new smartphone to buy.
I went to SM Baliuag to check it out. Its yellow kiosk is very attractive, so is the salesman! Also, he is very warm, smiling, and patient. CloudFone Excite 400dx’s specs surprised me. It only costs 2,999 php! Beyond its affordable price, it is Android (jelly bean), its display is 800×400, dual sim, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage micro, SD support up to 32GB, 5MP rear camera(unfortunately No LED flash), VGA (0.3MP) front-facing camera, Interchangeable 1400mAh & 3000mAh batteries 129.8 x 65.8 x 12.4/15.2mm (dimension). Including all these specs I don’t know about, like the Dual-band GSM (900/1800) / 3G/HSPA+ (2100), and, Mali-400MP1 GPU, etc. It comes in 3 colors: black, red, and silver. I picked red!
What I really don’t like about this phone is its front cam. You cannot have a high resolution picture using front cam if you are not in a place with very bright lighting. It keeps me from taking good selfies or groufies in dark places like bars or, anywhere dark. Though, I think it’s just right for its cheap price. On the other hand, the back camera is much better. When taking sceneries, it’s really superb.
My favorite part of this smartphone is the interchangeable batteries. This extra battery is not ordinary because it is much thicker than the other one, and it does a great a job in making your phone alive in almost 2 days. While the thin battery lasts for a day. Both are really efficient.
I have been using this phone for a year now, and what is good about this phone is its durability. I have dropped this phone on the ground more than 20 times and it is still in good condition, and the screen wasn’t shattered. I thought I was only lucky, but when it was dropped 4 feet high, it is still working. I am glad I chose Cloudfone. No regrets about Cloudfone Excite 400dx. It is for those who are looking for efficient, operative, and superb, yet inexpensive.
