Senior residential care and nursing home facilities in the Philippines vary from one another. One might offer long term services while others only cater to those who are in need of immediate, short term help. Other elderly care centers offer state of the art facilities, 24-hour caregivers, doctors, nurses and free meals while others operate on a modest scale providing only the basic needs such as shelter and food.
Here at webbline, we’ve listed down both private and government- / NGO-operated facilities to assist you in your choosing. Our list is growing but as of this writing, we’re close to 100 facilities providing geriatric care across the country. Navigating through the list provides a more detailed information.

What to look for when choosing a nursing home facility?
- What services do they offer and if they are enough to solve with your current needs
- What about the quality of their service? Find a competitor for a quick comparison
- Pay a visit for further assessment
- Word of mouth still works, so don’t skip friends or family members because they too might probably have some ideas of who’s the best care provider
There’s more to sparkling floors and lush garden during a physical tour. Here are a few things to keep in mind.
- Always make an appointment beforehand
- Trust your gut. If you feel you’re at home, then maybe you are
- Understand the level of personal care given to its residents
- Do they have safety rails, properly lit hallways, grab bars in the bathrooms, etc.?
- Are they genuinely fond of their residents? Smiling, laughing or singing along with them?
- What about the rooms? Are they clean, clutter free and properly maintained?
Don’t leave the facility without asking these questions.
- What type of services do they provide and how long the facility has been in the business
- Ask for certifications and staff licenses
- It’s seldom to get a united fee that covers all the possible charges. Make sure you ask if there are any additional fees not mentioned
- Don’t forget to look see the residents’ living spaces (e.g. bathroom, hallway, stairs, dining area, activity center, etc.)
- Take note of any terms of contract and conditions of their services
- It pays to ask about their emergency plans during earthquakes, typhoons, etc.
