Many girls are torn with the need to moisturize or not. The answer is YES, but the type of moisturizer should match your skin type. Different skin types: dry, normal, combination, oily, sensitive, acne-prone and mature skin have different needs. So it is important to know your skin type so you can match it with a moisturizer that targets your needs. Read on to know how I found my match.
I wasn’t aware about moisturizers back then. I was still a student so I just use what’s popular, like Pond’s whitening or spot-correcting creams. I continued to have oily skin and pimples until I had a major breakout that became my turning point. I started to research about how to get a flawless face. Then one day, it hit me that I’ve been using the wrong products for my oily and sensitive skin. During my grocery shopping, I chanced upon Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer, which was very timely because Celeteque was just newly introduced in the market at that time.
Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer comes in a white tube with a blue strip. It looks clean and medicated suggesting that it is dermatologist-tested. It is available in 50ml and 100ml sizes and sold at PhP 127 and PhP 210 respectively. I did a little research and learned that it is part of Celeteque’s Hydration Line. It has a Triple Moisturizing System that contains Glycerin, Provitamin B5 and Aloe Vera that work deep down to provide lasting relief from skin dryness. Its unique hydrogel formula provides the skin with optimum hydration without the greasy after-feel.
How does it work? Celeteque Facial Moisturizer is a water-based moisturizer that has Dimethicone that seals in the skin’s moisture which keeps the skin soft, smooth and supple.
For six years, I have stayed loyal to this product. What do I love about it?
- First and foremost, it is water-based and oil-free which means it doesn’t clog my pores.
- Second, it is non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic, fragrance-free and dermatologist-tested. In short, it’s suitable for my sensitive skin; doesn’t cause breakouts and irritation; and doctors have tested it.
- Third, it is lightweight and suits our hot and humid weather. It doesn’t feel sticky unlike oil-based moisturizers which are intended for dry and mature skin.
- Fourth, it makes my skin soft and less oily in the morning. Not moisturizing oily skin after washing makes it even oilier because you have stripped off the natural oils by washing. What I don’t like about this is the lack of SPF so I cannot possibly wear it under the sun.
There are many types of moisturizers out there. Knowing your skin type will guide you to the best moisturizer that fits your needs. In my case, only Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer can provide the needs of my oily and sensitive skin. If you have the same skin type, I highly recommend this moisturizer to you.
