Thai-Resa Restaurant Review: Your Authentic Thai Cuisine

Each of us has our favorite cuisine, it’s just really nice to know that my husband and I both love Thailand food. Our love for Thai cuisine started when we visited Thailand for our family vacation last year. Since then, the taste of Thailand food has remained with us and we are always on the look for these kinds of food here in the Philippines.

Our newly found taste buddy when it comes to serving Thai cuisine is a small yet a home for authentic Thailand’s favorite dishes! It can be found in Amoranto corner Iriga Street, Brgy. Paang Bundok, Quezon City. It is none other than Thai-Resa! This Thai inspired resto is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM. From Makati it’s a 33 minute ride, but always allot an extra time since you may be caught in a traffic jam, especially during weekends. Good thing that it was a Wednesday afternoon when we went there because it’s our off from work.

Like what I’ve said, the place was pretty small but many people go there to try their special Thai servings. One can choose from different authentic Thai favorites such as Tom Yam Goong, Tom Yang Soup, Phad Thai (their authentic Thai Rice Noodles cook with Tofu and Toge with Tamarines as the Base Sauce), Beef Green Curry, and a lot more! Every dish is indeed appetizing!

The prices are very affordable too. Dishes range from P120 up to P300 while different kinds of soups and noodles can be ordered from P130 to P150 only. They also have rice with toppings at a low cost of P80 to P120.

For our lunch, my hubby ordered a Crabmeat Fried Rice (a fresh crabmeat cooked together with Rice and Egg) which is good for 2-3 persons and their “Must Try” Catfish with Green Mango Salad. Of course I also ordered Mix Vegetables (cabbage, tomatoes and young corn, sauted in Thai oyster sauce) for our side dish.

Our food was served after 10 minutes, which was okay, since everything was made to order and cooked with the finest of ingredients. While eating, my hubby and I were both smiling and talking a bit about how Thai-Resa’s food are somewhat similar to the ones we tasted way back in Thailand. I was so happy to know that there is an authentic Thai restaurant here in the country, although many other Thai- resto that we’ve been are claiming the same thing.

After several minutes of savoring our order, the beverage which I really want to taste was served. It is their Thai-Iced Tea. I can say that this refreshment was amazing! It was a freshly brewed Thai tea dusk served cold with milk on top.

Having been in Thai-Resa was an awesome experience. We will surely come back, some time soon. And I promise that I will recommend this to my friends and even to my cousins who love other kinds of cuisine. For I am pretty sure that once they have a taste of it, they will crave for more!
