Osaka Ohsho Restaurant Review
Japanese food is just heaven, more so when it’s authentic! I have this thing for almost anything Japanese and of course, included in that is my fancy for trying Japanese foods. So here goes my review for one Japanese dine-in restaurant which offers an appealing mouth-watering menu.
SM Megamall opened its newest expansion building – Mega Fashion Hall last year. Since I’m a frequent goer of the said mall, I searched on the Internet which food establishments would be nice to try in this expansion building. I found out about this Japanese restaurant – Osaka Ohsho, it turns out that this is the first and only branch here in the country. Aside from the Philippines, it has branches in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, and Korea. Osaka Ohsho is dubbed as the World’s No.1 Gyoza.
I went to eat there with my boyfriend. We had to wait to be seated, but luckily, we didn’t have to wait for so long. When eating out, I and my boyfriend like sitting beside each other than sitting across. The crew were kind enough to prepare a table with such setting for us. The ambiance inside the restaurant is really nice and calm.
Looking at the menu, there are many sets I would really love to try! The one I decided to try for this first time is one of their curry sets. I decided on their Katsu curry set. This set comes with miso soup, a few fruit slices, pork(katsu) curry rice, and 3 pieces of their gyoza. The katsu curry rice is really tasty, the ingredients blended well.
However, it’s my first time to eat gyoza so I can’t really compare it with others, but based on what I ate here, their gyoza is really crunchy and juicy. Juice will come out flowing once you take a bite! This set’s rate is ₱425, which is very reasonable for the food quality and taste, I even think it’s under-priced! For our drinks, we chose their Bottomless House Blend Iced Tea. It is served in a big beer mug, so given that it’s even bottomless is a very good deal.
I would definitely come back to try the other sets in their menu. I hope they would have more branches here in the Philippines. If not, I’ll still go to their Megamall branch anyway! If you would like to try or if you’re into authentic Japanese food, Osaka Ohsho is a must-try!
