CMSP WELCOMES MISSION VOLUNTEERS

Youth volunteers from Germany and Denmark have arrived recently to lend support to the ministry among children of CMSP. The children greeted Lena upon her arrival in CMSP Children’s Village. She is here on a month-long exposure program in preparation for her further studies. Alexander and Jakob are exchange students from Germany while Louise and Anita are volunteers from Viva Network of Denmark. They all look forward to a meaningful engagement with the children and enhanced intercultural experience as part of CMSP’s development volunteer service program. Mabuhay! See MoreSee Less

CMSP COMMEMORATES NATIONAL LANGUAGE MONTH

The month of August is celebrated annually as “Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa” (or National Language Month) nationwide. This year’s theme is “Filipino: Wikang Mapagbago” (or Filipino: Language of Change). The month-long celebration emphasizes the strengthening of Filipino culture in improving the quality of life for all within a climate of social change. CMSP children and parents wore traditional Filipino costumes and sang the Philippine National Anthem at the start of the program to commemorate the occasion as part of its day care curriculum.

CMSP centers in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City and Calaca, Batangas highlighted the “Buwan ng Wika” celebration with colorful fiesta-themed decorations. There were wholesome activities for children and families such as cultural dance presentation, native product booths, food festival, fellowship lunch and parents’ dance show. It was a fun-filled day wherein the children enjoyed eating nutritious Filipino dishes and played some traditional children’s games. See MoreSee Less
