Datu Puti Oysterrific Oyster Sauce Review
Oyster sauce is a must have in every kitchen. It is best for marinades, stir fries and dipping sauces. This thick, concentrated dark brown sauce made from oysters, brine and soy sauce can turn your ordinary dishes into extraordinary delicacies!
With oyster sauce in your pantry, you don’t have to dine in a Chinese restaurant to try their flavorful fried rice or chow fan. Oyster sauce can do the magic! Just stir fry mixed vegetables, any meat of your choice and add some oyster sauce. Simple, easy and delicious!
Yesterday, while cooking some stir fried veggies, I found out that I no longer have oyster sauce. So I went to the nearest sari-sari store to buy one. I always prefer the popular brand, Mama Sitas. Unfortunately, they ran out of stock. The store owner convinced me to try Datu Puti Oysterrific Oyster Sauce instead. I bought 1 large sachet. I was surprised that it only costs 10 pesos, cheaper than my preferred brand. Datu Puti is a popular brand of vinegar and soy sauce, best for adobo dishes.
When I added the sauce to my dish, I noticed that it has a thicker consistency compared to Mama Sitas. It has the right amount of sweetness which is good since my family members are not fond of sweet viands.
I also tried it on marinades and fried rice. Datu Puti Oyster Sauce and my preferred brand tastes similar yet a lot cheaper. It’s a great add on to your favorite Filipino cuisines like adobo and barbecue. Also, try it on soups and noodles dishes like pancit, lomi and chow mien.
When it comes to taste and affordability, Datu Puti Oysterrific Oyster sauce is now my personal choice. You can use it in a lot of ways. Great to use in place of or addition to soy sauce, just go easy because it’s a bit salty.
I supposed people fall either of these categories: love for cooking or eating, thus Datu Puti Oyster Sauce is a good addition to your kitchen if you don’t have one yet.
This product is readily available almost everywhere; in supermarkets and even in sari-sari stores near you.
